The top speed of our golf carts is 30 MPH (48 KM/H). This speed allows for a comfortable and enjoyable ride while exploring Nosara.  It is important to adhere to the speed limits and regulations imposed by the local authorities for safe driving.

In Costa Rica, there is legislation that prohibits the operation of vehicles, including golf carts, on beaches. According to this law, golf carts are considered as cars and are not allowed to be used on the beach. This restriction is in place to protect natural resources, ensure the safety of visitors, and preserve the ecological integrity of the beach areas. 

In Costa Rica, golf carts are considered the same as cars, and all the same rules apply. We recommend adhering to this regulation and enjoying the beauty of the beaches on foot or utilizing other permitted means of transportation.

We deliver our golf carts fully charged, minus what it takes us to drive to your hotel or house for delivery. This initial charge should last you up to 2 full days of continuous use. Our golf carts can be charged with a standard 110-volt outlet, and it usually takes about 3hrs to reach a full charge. The best time to do this is overnight so it doesn’t interfere with your daily activities. Upon delivery we will go over all the charging instructions with you , helping you to locate where to plug in and how it works. Hotels and rental houses usually do not mind you charging your cart there as they are used to the golf cart way of life in Nosara.  In the event that customers do not have the means to charge the golf cart themselves, we can arrange to help you based on each situation. Again, hotels and houses are always fine with charging overnight, so do not expect any problem with plugging in at your location. Once you reach 30% left on your battery please plug in.

It is the renter’s responsibility to charge the golf cart or contact us for charging while renting  it. If for any reason you run out of power and get stranded, a fee will be charged for pick up. Once you get down to 30% battery please plug in.  If you need us to charge it for you please allow 30% battery left for us to travel back to our location for the charging process.

If the issue cannot be resolved immediately, we will either provide you with a replacement golf cart to ensure your continued enjoyment during your stay or refund the balance of your rental time. Yes, our golf carts are equipped with headlights, tail lights, turn signals, horns, and upgraded brakes and seat belts.

Our golf carts are licensed as cars in Costa Rica, this  means they meet the legal requirements and regulations necessary for operation on public roads. They are equipped with standard insurance coverage. Just like any other vehicle in the country. This provides you with peace of mind and protection during your rental period allowing you to explore Nosara with confidence.

If you are involved in an accident, contact us immediately at 506 85161932. Do not move the vehicle from the accident site. Two reports will be taken for the claim, regardless if you are at fault. One report is from the traffic police (Tránsito) and the second is issued by a representative from the insurance company. Both Tránsito and the insurance company representative will come to the site of the accident, which may take several hours for either to arrive. Do not take directions from anyone but the traffic police (Tránsito). Stay alert and careful when driving the main highway road, that is where most accidents happen. It is easy to enjoy your stay and travel the area comfortably if you are responsible, safe and aware of the drivers around you. 

If you lose your key fob you will be charged for the replacement fob. Please contact us immediately if you lose your key fob. We will be there quickly to help you get back on the road.
